Bug-Hunter QA Program

1. Scope of the Program

1.1 The Bug-Hunter QA Program ("the Program") invites selected contributors to identify defects in question content published on 456awelder.ca. 1.2 Participation is by invitation only. Invitations are single-use and non-transferable. 1.3 Contributors report defects. Contributors do not author new questions. Question submission is outside the scope of these Terms. If it is introduced later, these Terms must be revised and re-accepted. 1.4 H&H Technical Services ("H&H") may modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time, including its scoring and reward structure. 1.5 Eligibility. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate. By accepting these Terms you confirm that you are 18 or older. H&H may remove any contributor who is not.

2. What You Submit

2.1 A "Submission" is anything you provide through the Program, including:

• the defect category you select;
• any free-text explanation you write (notes);
• any corrected or replacement text you propose (fix_value).

2.2 You acknowledge that proposed corrections may be incorporated into the question bank automatically, without individual negotiation or further notice to you.

3. Licence Grant

3.1 You grant H&H a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, non-exclusive, sublicensable and transferable licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and create derivative works from your Submissions, in any medium and for any purpose, including commercial exploitation of the 456awelder.ca platform and any successor or related product. 3.2 This licence survives termination of your participation and any termination of the Program. 3.3 You retain ownership of copyright in your Submissions. This is a licence, not an assignment.

4. Moral Rights Waiver

4.1 Under the Copyright Act (Canada), moral rights cannot be assigned — they can only be waived (s. 14.1(2)), and they survive an assignment of copyright unless expressly waived (s. 14.1(3)). 4.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive all moral rights in your Submissions in favour of H&H, its successors, assignees, and licensees. This includes the right of attribution, the right to the integrity of the work, and the right to remain anonymous or pseudonymous. 4.3 This waiver permits H&H to modify, edit, condense, or combine your Submissions without attribution and without seeking your approval. 4.4 If you are resident outside Canada, you waive the equivalent rights available in your jurisdiction to the maximum extent permitted.

5. Your Representations

5.1 You represent and warrant that each Submission: (a) is your own original work; (b) is not copied or transcribed from any copyrighted source, including but not limited to textbooks, training manuals, instructional learning modules, commercial question banks, or other exam-preparation products; (c) is not reproduced from, and does not disclose the content of, any secure or confidential examination, including the Red Seal Interprovincial examination, Skilled Trades Ontario examinations, or any provincial certifying examination; (d) does not infringe the intellectual property, confidentiality, or privacy rights of any third party; (e) is not subject to any obligation owed to your employer, union, training provider, or any other party that would prevent you from granting the licence in §3. 5.2 You will not upload, paste, or transcribe material from any source you do not have the right to share. 5.3 You will indemnify H&H against any claim arising from a breach of §5.1 or §5.2.

6. Rewards and Compensation

6.1 The rewards described in the Program materials are the entire consideration for your participation. 6.2 Points are awarded on adjudication, not on submission. A submission is a claim; it earns points only when reviewed and confirmed. 6.3 Adjudication is performed by H&H. H&H's determination is final. No contributor holds a right of appeal or a right to a particular verdict. 6.4 Points carry no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and confer no property right. 6.5 The reward ladder is published separately and will change over time. Available items depend on Keyhole Supply inventory, which turns over. H&H may vary reward tiers, point thresholds, and available items at any time, and may substitute an item of comparable value where stock is unavailable. 6.6 Reaching a point threshold entitles you to a reward from the ladder in effect at the time the threshold is reached. Points already earned are not devalued by a later change to the ladder. 6.7 No employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, or agency is created. You are not an employee, contractor, or agent of H&H, and you accrue no wages, benefits, or entitlements.

7. Confidentiality of Pre-Release Access

7.1 Program participation may give you access to unreleased or unpublished question content. 7.2 You will not disclose, republish, screenshot for distribution, or share that content outside the Program. 7.3 This obligation survives your departure from the Program.

8. Attribution and Publicity

8.1 H&H may display a contributor handle or pseudonym on leaderboards visible to other participants. 8.2 H&H will not publish your real name or email address without your separate, specific consent. 8.3 Contributor identity in the system is represented by an opaque token, not by an email address.

9. Data

9.1 H&H collects and stores: your opaque contributor token, your Submissions, adjudication outcomes, points, and the timestamp and version of your acceptance of these Terms. 9.2 Submission content is retained indefinitely as part of the question bank record, including after you leave the Program. This is a direct consequence of the licence in §3 and cannot be reversed by deleting your account.

10. Termination

10.1 You may leave the Program at any time. 10.2 H&H may remove any contributor at any time, including for submission of content that breaches §5, for coordinated or manipulative behaviour, or for abuse of the adjudication process. 10.3 Sections 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9 survive termination.

11. Acceptance

11.1 These Terms are accepted electronically by affirmative action at signup. 11.2 The checkbox is not pre-ticked. You must actively check it. 11.3 H&H records your contributor token, the version string of these Terms, the timestamp, and the originating IP address. 11.4 You cannot submit a flag until acceptance is recorded. 11.5 If these Terms are revised, your prior acceptance remains bound to the version you accepted. Continued participation after a revision requires acceptance of the new version.

12. Governing Law

12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
